TDH Amends MRT Continuing Education Requirements

On October 1, 2006 the Texas Department of Health reduced the number of instructor-directed CEU's required for MRT's from 12 to 3. This is a dramatic change! Click here to read the new regulations.

ATTENTION all R.T.'s!!

HB 3414 has been introduced to the Texas Legislature in order to establish a Board of Radiologic Technologist Examiners. The language of the bill is similar to the federal CARE Bill and will disallow the use of NCT's. Click here for more on HB 3414.

DiagnosTemps Assists With AAA Screening

When Baylor All Saints called asking DiagnosTemps to provide Sonographers for their free AAA screening the answer was easy - "we'd be honored!" So on February 28th and March 7th four dedicated Sonographers took the time from their weekend to scan close to 160 patients. Nearly 200,000 people in the United States are diagnosed with AAA annually; approximately 15,000 of these cases may be severe enough to cause death if not treated. The opportunity to help provide a free public service for such an important health issue was one that DiagnosTemps felt compelled to provide.

In addition to our BCBS PPO coverage that we already offer, DiagnosTemps is proud to announce that it now offers, dental, vision, life, disability and a variety of other insurance plans brokered by Ovation Life and Health Services! The dental coverage will be provided by Delta Dental, the vision by VSP and the other policies by Assurant Health. DiagnosTemps Gets Full Accreditation

In the summer of 2004 DiagnosTemps set out to become the first radiology staffing agency in the country to get full accreditation. The management of DiagnosTemps began forming a relationship with Colleen Mills of Staffing Accreditation Standards(SAS). The company targeted an inspection date of December 2004 and spent two days that month meeting with the SAS inspection team. In January 2005 DiagnosTemps learned of its Full Accreditation and was awarded its certificate in March.
